Austin's Essay
The men who fought in the revolutionary war must have been smart, strategic, determined, mentally tough, and overall just strong and able to overcome any difficulties. Throughout the revolutionary war, there have been many hardships and problems but the men in the war were determined to overcome them in order to gain their independence. These men believed that what they were fighting for was right and gave up everything to that cause.
The men of the revolutionary war were smart and strategic. They outsmarted the British with different fighting tactics that the British were not used to. The Americans had sharpshooters and riflemen. They were also hidden in dense cover and used traditional Native American tactics with speed, stealth, and surprise to attack the British. The Americans knew the weaknesses of the British Army and exploited them. The Americans also had secret ways of communicating with each other like using invisible ink or signaling others with daily household items (ex: laundry). The cleverness and smartness of the Americans were an important characteristic to themselves since it helped them win the war.
The soldiers in the revolutionary war were very determined and never gave up. Even though the odds were against them in the war, they still fought valiantly. Without the determination of the soldiers, the Americans would have never kept fighting for their independence.
The men also had to be mentally tough to be able to survive the harsh conditions. There were men dying everywhere due to a sickness that was quickly spreading through the whole rebel army. The men in the army needed enough strength to carry on. The men could have easily given up and accepted their death, but they didn’t. They were strong enough to overcome this hardship and continue fighting for what they believed in.
In conclusion, the men of the revolutionary war were very strong overall. Every part of them was strong, mind, spirit, and body.
